St. Luke's Church,
Anglican — Our Values
St. Luke’s Church Values:
• Grace, God’s love toward us that we do not deserve because of our sin.
We love and accept all people just as they are. We celebrate our liberty in Christ
and freedom from the Law.
• Word and Sacrament:
We appreciate and connect with the 2000-year history of inspiration,
experience and knowledge of all Christians throughout the world.
We look to the Holy Scriptures as the inspired Word of God and
the authority in all matters of faith and practice. We celebrate
the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion as means by which
God bestows his grace.
• Fellowship:
We are a welcoming and friendly community in which people love and
care for one another as in any good family.
• The miraculous:
We believe the signs, gifts and wonders of the Holy Spirit experienced
by the New Testament church are also for the church today. We believe
that wholeness of body, mind, and spirit is God’s will for all and
minister to the sick accordingly.
• God’s creation:
We believe God created all things and works his will in the world
in a variety of ways. We welcome differing views as to the means
by which God created and sustains his Creation.
